CONCERT II
Taste of Enlightenment
A tasting flight of music for strings from the 18th century, from Vivaldi to Beethoven.
The 18th century was a time of change throughout Europe, as the ideas of the Enlightenment took hold everywhere. From the music of Bach and Vivaldi, our musical journey takes us right up to Beethoven’s first string quartet, an early masterpiece by a composer who was about to change musical history forever.
The quaint Gallery winery, with its vaulted ceiling and warm acoustics, offers superb views of the Valley from the hills of West Kelowna. At only 40 seats, this is a chance to experience the music up close, which is exactly how it would’ve been heard 250 years ago.
Wine Pairing: This one’s for the Rosé lovers! Enjoy the crisp and bright flavours of the Gallery’s newly released Rosé.
