CONCERT IV
Sunday in Paris
The shimmering textures of Ravel and Debussy pair with French-inspired viticulture for this Sunday afternoon concert in the luminous interior of St. Micheal’s cathedral.
The music from Paris in the early 20th century is nothing short of magical. Under the influence of French impressionism, composers sought out innovative musical textures and harmonies which added a whole new dimension to their music.
Paris-based cellist Raphaël Jouan will bring his French touch to Debussy’s Cello Sonata, and the centrepiece of the program will be Ravel’s Piano Trio, a pinnacle in the history of chamber music.
We are excited to feature some truly excellent wine from Naramata’s Roche Wines, who bring their French savoir-faire to the Okanagan terroir.
